The property is a secluded 460 acres easily accessed via a maintained gravel road 2 miles from pavement. This property is at 4350 ft elevation in the cooler Chihuahuan high desert, known for its Chapparal, Mesquite trees, varieties of cactus, Yucca and Mormon Tea, all edible and healing. . We have mild sunny winters, and the summer monsoon rains, moderate the temperature starting in July. The Clear nightime skies are excellent for star watchers. Our main building contains the kitchen, community room, bathroom and attached solar greenhouse. Its huge kitchen contains over 50’ of counter space, 3 sinks, 2 refrigerators, 1 freezer, 112’sq cool storage room, storage, on-demand water heater, wood stove, overhead fans and abundant lighting. The attached Greenhouse has raised beds with food plants and flowers growing year around.

There are 2 dorm style buildings with 4 bedrooms finished, accommodating 10 guests and 2 more rooms roughed in. Each finished room has its own bathroom with shower, large oversize sinks, on-demand water heaters, overhead fans, propane space heaters (rarely used due to solar gain), sliding glass doors and many windows for ventilation and solar gain The North dorm has a huge attached solarium. .

The very Private Residence, located by itself, with attached greenhouse (900’ sq combined), has its own power supply and water system, but relies on the main kitchen for food preparation.

A 768’ sq tool storage bldg, with general storage, many shelves, and attached laundry room is one of several utility buildings with shop and production spaces.

The Huge garden space (fenced) with areas under 50% shade cloth and open areas provide most of the food we consume. The many raised beds have custom, rich Organic soil for growing vegetables year around. With the gardens and greenhouses we are mostly food self-sufficient. Large garden storage for tools, hoses, organic fertilizers, etc. There are also numerous fruit bearing trees and bushes.

. The building complex is completely off-grid and solar-powered. There are dedicated solar systems powering AC and DC to all buildings and the water well system. Fixed arrays and tracker arrays provide abundant power for any and all tasks. Temperature controlled battery storage room, forklift batteries, Trace components, over-sized copper wiring assure trouble-free and almost maintenance-free operation. We have installed the most energy efficient and highest quality components. A 1000 gallon propane tank supplies hot water to dorms and kitchen.

Water is pumped from the well using a submersible 2hp Sun Pump delivering 10 gpm at storage tanks and is powered by twenty four 110W solar panels on Zomeworks trackers. Pump sits at 400ft level, static water level is 360ft./p>
